Robert Lewandowski Reveals Real Reason He Wants To Quit Bayern Munich This Summer

Poland international Robert Lewandowski is reportedly planning to end his reign with German League champions Bayern Munich this summer.

The Polish striker had a poor outing at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Russia having failed to help his country avoid crashing out early at the tournament.

He joined the Bavarians in the summer of 2014 from Borussia Dortmund and scored 106 goals in 126 appearances in the space of four seasons.

According to Daily Star uoting German tabloid Bild claims the 29-year-old was ready to stay with the Bundesliga giants.

However, a source close to the Polish striker remained confident that Lewandowski wants out of his deal with the Bavarians.

“Bild published a fake story saying Robert is now ready to stay,” said the source.

“Nothing has changed, Robert wishes to leave and Bayern refuse to sell. He will keep pushing to go.”

Meanwhile Spanish League giants Real Madrid are said to be among the top clubs jostling for his signature.

Bayern not willing to let their striker leave as they have refused to put a price tag on his head, insisting they will not sell whatever the offer.

Super agent Pini Zihavi, who mastermind the £200m sale of Neymar from Barcelona to Paris St-Germain, is overseeing Lewandowski’s planned exit.

The former Borussia Dortmund striker has been a long term target for Real Madrid, and the 29-year-old feels joining Los Blancos next season will be good for his career.

According to the report by Prezeglad Sportowy, Robert Lewandowski’s agent is said to have had a meeting with Bayern Munich directors over his client’s move to the Bernabeu.
