Frustrated Wife Puts Up Her Husband For Sale On eBay For Just N7K

A woman has put her husband up for sale on eBay with a price tag of just £16 (about N7,400) because she is “fed up” with his negative outlook on things.

The woman, 40, from Hamburg, Germany known only as Dorte L, said in the ad she had been married for seven years but now they didn’t “belong together any more”.

She wrote:-

“Dear women who may be interested.

“Over the first two days of Christmas I have realised that we simply don’t belong together any more. I would like to give up my husband. I am happy to negotiate the price. But no exchange. Please send me inquiries over email.”

The advert was titled “Husband, used” and illustrated with the pair’s Christmas tree.

‘Dorte’ said that he could be collected on Christmas Day so he could be ‘road tested’ on Boxing Day.

She set the price at €18 (£16) as this was her lucky number.

‘Dorte’ told the Hamburger Abendblatt: “The advert was very well received. I got a lot of positive feedback and someone sent me a lot of smiley emoticons. I didn’t want to make a drama out of it at all. It was just for some amusement.”

She added that her husband had been unaware of the advert until the newspaper revealed it.

People have put the strangest things for sale on the site over the years including prosthetic legs, a mummified pony and a spanner fancy dress costume.
