Man Beaten Mercilessly After Allegedly Stealing Phone From A Church In Calabar

A thief has gotten more than he could chew after allegedly stealing a phone from a church.

A suspected thief has been rescued after he was almost killed for allegedly stealing a phone in Calabar, Cross River state.

According to reports, the suspect was beaten mercilessly after he was apprehended over an alleged phone theft earlier today.

With support from Nigeria Police Force, Federal Housing Division Calabar and activist Gwamnishu Emefiena, the suspected thief was rescued.

He was rushed to the University of Calabar Teaching hospital for treatment.
