Oyo State Governor, Makinde Finally Confirms 2 New Cases Of Coronavirus

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, on Tuesday, announced that the State has recorded another two new confirmed cases of coronavirus.

Makinde made this announcement via a series of tweets on his verified Twitter handle Tuesday night.
With the two new cases, Oyo State now has sixty seven confirmed cases of coronavirus.
Makinde, who doubles as Chairman, COVID-19 task force in the State said,
“the COVID-19 confirmation tests for two suspected cases came back positive. One case in Ibadan North and one case in Ibadan North West.
“So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State as at 8 PM today, is sixty-seven”.
Makinde added that three patients of coronavirus have also been discharged after the second test on them came back negative.
The total number of discharged patients according to him is seventeen (17).
“Three confirmed COVID-19 patients have received their second negative test results and have been discharged.
“This brings the number of discharged cases in Oyo State to seventeen.
