Watch Moment A Policeman Turned Midwife As He Helped Pregnant Woman Deliver A Baby

A kind-hearted police officer identified as Lance Corporal Emmanuel Kwamena Bartels has been showered with enormous accolades after helping an expectant mother deliver her baby in a car.

The brave policeman has received a great deal of praise from social media users for performing the duties of a midwife.

In a video that was aired on Angel 102.9 FM’s Evening News on Thursday, Lance Corporal Bartels said he was stationed at the area to assist in directing traffic when the incident unfolded.

He revealed that he saw the woman by the roadside crying for help because she was in labour.

Bartels said she drew his attention with her loud cry.

“While directing traffic, I saw the woman by the roadside crying for help and drawing lots of attention so I was moved to help her…” he narrated in an interview with Kofi Adomah on Angel FM.

According to him, the husband of the expectant woman had already gone to town to look for a commercial vehicle to transport his wife to the hospital to deliver. Her hubby was delayed and the police officer was moved with compassion and decided to help.
