SO BAD: Many Peoples Was Injured In Multiple Accident In Umuahia, Driver Escapes Lynching
An undisclosed number of persons are now battling to save their lives following multiple accident along Ikot Ekpene express road by BCA road, Umuahia Abia state.
ABN TV gathered that trouble started when the driver of an articulated vehicle, popularly known as trailer with registration number DUK 584 XA made effort to maneuver his way in the ever-busy road.
He was said to have hit a woman and her child in a KEKE NAPEP, leaving them with varying degrees of injuries.
While he made way to park in an apparent effort to assess the situation, he suddenly zoomed off, ignoring a signal from a traffic warden in the area.
In an attempt to escape, he also hit another KEKE NAPEP as well as a Corolla vehicle that attempted to block him from escaping, leaving them beyond repair.
This however angered youths of the area who engaged him in hot pursuit and later apprehended him at Bende road by Amaeke Ibeku.
The berserk driver whose identity could not be ascertained however jumped off the vehicle, leaving his assistant to his fate.
He was handed over to the police pending the return of the driver.
Apostle Christian Ulonnam, the youth leader of Nkata Ancient Kingdom Ibeku Umuahia in a chat with ABN TV disclosed that the presence of police personnel saved the situation from escalating to jungle justice.
