My Collaboration With Wizkid On “Omo Toh Shan” Gave Me An Edge And Make Things Easier For Me – Olamide Admits

YBNL boss, Olamide has revealed how his relationship with Wizkid in the early days of his career gave him and edge and make things easier for him.

In a recent online interview that surfaced online, Olamide talked about how Banky W and Wizkid supported him with a collaboration on “Omo Toh Shan” when he just left his former label, Coded Tunes to stand alone.

According to Olamide, his collaboration with Wizkid on “Omo Toh Shan” gave him a little bit of an edge and make things easier for him to grow bigger in the music industry.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS!

As much as this is clearly coming from Olamide himself, I strongly disagree with him because it seems he doesn’t know what he is saying.😏

Olamide must have forgotten he was on the same level with Wizkid back then and thought Banky W and Wizkid helped him by working with him on “Omo Toh Shan” but that wasn’t the case.

At the time when Omo Toh Shan was released, Olamide was already popping on the street with “Eni Duro” and some other street rap songs.

Wizkid was also popping that time too with “Holla At Your Boy” and “Love My Baby” I guess.

I see the collaboration of Wizkid and Olamide on “Omo Toh Shan” as two rising artistes trying to put together their music strengths and fanbase to help each other grow.

As much as “Omo Toh Shan” helped Olamide, it helped Wizkid too but you won’t just hear that from him because he is Starboy!

While it helped Olamide appealed to some porsh music fanbase, it helped Wizkid also appeal to many core street music lovers.
