LET’S TALK!! If Nigeria Divides Today, Will Your Region Survive On It Own?

With the Oduduwa republic already calling for division and the Biafrans who has made it known they want out of Nigeria, one can only say Nigeria may likely be divided.

On January 1, 1914, Lord Frederick Lugard, the governor of both the Northern Nigeria Protectorate and the Colony and Protectorate of Southern Nigeria, signed a document consolidating the two, thereby creating the Colony and Protectorate of Nigeria. Later in 1960, Nigeria became an independent state.

In Nigeria we have 6 geopolitical zones which consist of👇🏻

North Central (known as Middle Belt):Benue,Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau Federal Capital Territory

North East: Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba, Yobe

North West: Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara

South East: Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo

South South (also known as Niger Delta region): Akwa Ibom ,Bayelsa, Cross River, Rivers, Delta Edo

South West: Ekiti, Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Oyo

Truth be told, the Nigeria we have today is a divided one already just not on paper, because people from the same geopolitical zone see themselves more as brothers and sisters than people from other zones.

We are Nigerians but can’t see ourselves as one, killings here and there, ethnic fights, Federal Government favoring some zones than the other (depending on the sitting president), so much more we can say.

Nigeria can still be better only if see ourselves as ONE, If not this trend will forever continue and one of the best way to solve it is being divided.

But guys,

If Nigeria Divides Today, Will Your Region Survives On It Own?

Or Do You Think Nigeria Is Better Together Than Zones Being Divided?

Let’s hear from you.
